Keep Hair Safe in Rainy Season

When rainy season is around people do not miss a chance to enjoy it. It is very pleasing to get wet in the rain but what about your hair. In rainy days, people suffer through hair related problems like hair loss, dandruff, tangled hair and many more. In order to keep your hair safe from all these problems you can take help of few methods. All these methods are easy to follow and do not consume much time. However, it is advisable that you should practice these steps regularly without any breaks.

Firstly, during rainy season you should not shampoo your hair every day.  By doing so, the dryness level in hair increases and it makes your situation worse. Washing your hair twice or even thrice in a weak is desirable as it keeps your clean and at the same time do not make them dry. These days, the market is flooded with various herbal shampoos that contain least amount of chemical products. You should always try to use these herbal and all natural shampoos to keep your hair damage free. In addition, you can apply conditioners to bring back the smoothness in your hair and make them manageable. If you are looking for something natural then yogurt can be used as an alternative conditioner.


It is true that people love to follow trends and hairstyles from time to time. However, when rainy season is around avoid experimenting with your hair and stay with your previous look. Along with this, try to tie up your hair as much as possible. Leaving your hair open expose them to the moisture available in air and make them look worse. Various styles are there by which you can tie your hair and prevent them from being damaged greatly. To give them a stylish look, try to put some accessories available in the market in huge variety.

Uses for mineral oil as an alternative fuel

Mineral oils are of different types and are available in abundance in the market. If you talk about mineral oils then it can be used to reference two different types of oil. Generally, people use this term for referring to different by-products that are obtained by the process of distillation of crude petroleum.

Each type of mineral oil is used for one specific purpose or the other. However, these days apart from using mineral oils for specific purposes efforts are being made to use them as alternative fuels. There are various benefits of using these oils as alternative fuels.

Coconut oil as fuel

In many parts of the world, coconut oil is being used as fuel for vehicles. Apart from using as fuel for vehicles, coconut oil is also used to power generators. The different properties of unprocessed coconut oil make it suitable to be used as an alternative to fuels. The oil has a high viscosity, gelling temperature between 22 and 25 degree Celsius suitable to be used as fuel. However to use this oil as a fuel it is very important to make the oil meet the standard of Weihenstephan standard.

Vegetable oil as a fuel

The use of vegetable oil as a fuel is not novice and different companies have been using it as fuel to drive vehicles. Different models of cars in which vegetable oil is used as a fuel need some mechanism so that the oil can be heated before starting the engine. This is because in areas where temperature is low the vegetable oil can become thick and hampers the working of the engine. In different areas where vegetable oil is used as fuel, different mechanisms are employed to make engines work.


Use of alcohols as fuel

Due to different biological processes, alcohols of different types are produced in nature. Out of many different types of alcohols, ethanol is the most common one and is used as a fuel in different parts of the world. Syngas

There are different types of oils and by-products that are used as alternatives to fuel in various parts of the world. These days, one type of product used widely as fuel is known as syngas. The term is used to refer to a mixture obtained by combining carbon monoxide and hydrogen. This product acts as an efficient fuel and is used in engines by its direct combustion. During the production of syngas, various products are formed that have their own applications.

Benefits of using oil as fuel

There are various benefits of using mineral oils as alternative fuel. Out of all the benefits, the most prominent is that they all are eco-friendly. They cause no harm to the nature and thus one can use them without causing any threat to the nature. Different countries are adopting oils as fuels for various purposes and soon the entire world will follow the trend. Using mineral oils as fuel helps in saving lots of resources and money as well.

Ayurvedic Tips for Rainy Season

Rainy season or monsoon is the time enjoyed by almost every individual. It’s the time when people start feeling the urge to take fried, spicy foods etc. But remember this is the time when body’s immunity gets weak and also humidity in the temperature affects your internal environment. So a person should need to be cautious to remain healthy in this beautiful season to enjoy it utmost.

# As per Ayurveda which is a life science rainy season (varsha ritu) is the time when the digestive fire gets very weak , so to improve the digestive fire (agni) easily digestible and light food should be taken. Vegetables soups, moong dal are very good to be taken.
Generally non- leafy vegetables are recommended to be taken in this season.

# Add digestive condiments as ginger, green gram, pepper, zeera, coriander etc to the food so as to aid proper digestion of meals.

# Try to avoid eating uncooked vegetables and salads

# Take a glass of lukewarm water with honey empty stomach to flush out the toxins. Also intake the water intake in a day to keep the body hydrated.



# Don’t overeat. Take the food in moderate amount as the body is not able to digest the heavy food properly.

# Avoid sleeping in day time

# Avoid physical exertion and overexposure to sun.

# Skin needs proper care in this season as the humidity in the environment makes it dull. So take lots of fresh fruits and sufficient amount of water the flush out the toxins from the body.

Cracked feet is one of the major problems faced during this season, so apply sesame or castor oil over the feet. Also a paste made up of neem, turmeric and sesame seeds help to cure fungal infection between the toes that generally occurs in rainy season.

# Hair fall also increases in this season, so take special care. Although the hair loss is not permanent and it subsides as the season gets over but still use henna, amla powder etc and avoid using chemicals on the hair.

# Panchkarma (shodhan therapy) can be done on the body to remove the vitiated doshas as per Ayurveda.
