Yoga is a divine science that describes optimum health. Unlike other medical sciences that generally focus on signs and symptoms of diseases, the practice of Yoga is based on divine and spiritual understanding of flawless functioning of the human body, mind and soul. The Yoga information and techniques are invented to maximize body’s own potential to achieve wellbeing, vitality and retaining youthfulness.

Yoga is proven to provide strength to body, flexibility to the muscles, bones and ligaments; enhancing digestive power, respiration and blood circulation that ensures perfectly functioning of every cell and tissue. Yoga serves as the vital messenger for the body systems, nerves and hormones that balance and restore our mental, emotional and biological responses.

Yoga and Health go hand-in-hand. The Health Benefits of Yoga are not a secret anymore as it is a helping hand to improve and attain both physical and mental state. This is the commonest reason why people prefer Yoga for optimum health. Yoga is a holistic approach toward the cause and healing of any health ailment. The basic approach of Yoga is correcting the lifestyle and this is done by producing a rational positive and spiritual attitude.

Though the approach of Yoga is not yet confirmed for many health ailments but it surely aims at getting things under perfect control of the mind, senses and Life Force (praanik energy) so that they can drive them to healthier channels while maintaining mental purity, noetic constancy and spiritual bliss.

The practice of Yama - Niyamas (The Yoga) helps in strengthening the heart of the practitioner from frailties such as antipathy, rapacity and infatuation etc. by generating divine ethical characteristics such as kindness, honesty, downrightness, blitheness, sincerity, bravery, patience, persistency, tranquility, truth, harmony and above all, feeling of being in homeostasis.

The ancient Yoga experts and gurus had very wisely practiced the Yogic postures that refreshed whole psychosomatic constitution of a human being. A set of Asanas, Mudras and Pranayamas were performed with religious belief that offered rejuvenation of the vital organs such as kidneys, intestines, brain, heart, lungs, muscles, tissues, liver, pancreas etc. correcting oxygenation by improving blood supply.

Like Yoga, the use of Meditation for healing is also not a latest invention. Meditative methods are the products of various cultures and peoples across the world. The science of meditation has been rooted in the customs of the ancient world’s great religions. As a matter of fact, practically all religious or races practice meditation in one or the other way. The importance of meditation for alleviating sufferings and promoting healing has been known and adopted for thousands of years. Now, it has been proven scientifically that meditation works on various systems of the body and helps in curing many health ailments, especially mental.
